Our Story

Rooted on the West Coast.

Arbutus Coffee Co. started the way most good things do — with a conversation. We wanted a café that felt like the Island itself: unhurried, connected to the land, genuinely welcoming.

We opened our doors in Cowichan Bay in 2019 because this community deserved more than drive-through coffee. Every bean we pull is sourced from farmers we've actually met. Every pastry on that shelf was baked this morning. And the view? That's free with every cup.

We source local honey from Glenora Farms, dairy from Cowichan Valley creameries, and produce from whoever had the best haul at Saturday's market. That's just how we like to do things.
